MUSIC CITY, USA – January 22, 2009 – The Gospel Music Association (GMA) today announced that tickets for the 40th Annual GMA Dove Awards (www.doveawards.com) go on sale to the public tomorrow. Gospel and Christian music’s biggest night of the year will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn.
Tickets for the GMA Dove Awards will be available through TicketMaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or by calling the GMA at 615-242-0303. Ticket prices range from $55 to $200.
The Dove Awards are often referred to “the GRAMMYs” of Christian and gospel music as top artists from every style of gospel music come together for a national night of music and celebration as the GMA bestows the industry’s highest honor -- the Dove Award. Nominations for the awards will be announced on February 20, 2009.
Once the nominations are announced, performers and presenters will be announced for the GMA Dove Awards, which will be broadcast live on the Gospel Music Channel.
